Leadership. Adaptability. Relationships.
Students, faculty, staff and alumni of The University of Georgia think in
many different ways. They think of the Department of Recreational Sports as
their place to have fun and learn new skills.
The department attracts
nearly 80% of the student population to the Ramsey Student Center for Physical
Activities annually, and believes without reservation in its mission "to lead
and engage the diverse university community in learning and adopting healthy
lifetime behaviors by providing quality programs, facilities, equipment, and
services through participatory recreational experiences." The department does
this by offering a myriad of opportunities for outside-the-classroom learning in
both team environments and individual settings.
No matter how people
think of themselves, we are here to help them to be the best person they can
be. So, when you think of fun, think Recreational Sports.
