INFORMAL RECREATION POLICY
The Rec Sports Complex is an outdoor facility consisting of nine fields, 15 tennis courts, fast and slow-pitch batting cages and the Oconee Forest. This facility is intended for the use of UGA students, faculty and staff.
Informal recreation opportunities are available for UGA-affiliated patrons, schedule permitting, on a first-come, first-serve basis at the Rec Sports Complex. Individuals may not use it for personal coaching or instructional purposes. Organized activities other than those approved by the Department of Recreational Sports are prohibited.
Informal recreation is not permitted for community and non-UGA affiliated individuals and groups. The Rec Sports Staff will monitor activity and reserve the right to ask for University identification, i.e., checking the individual's UGACard. Upon request, the UGACard must be shown to University officials. Giving false or incomplete information on the ID request form by a student and/or witness is a violation of University policy and subject to disciplinary action.
Informal recreation opportunities may be limited to due to scheduled special events, intramural sports program, academic classes and maintenance projects. Semester schedules for the fields and tennis courts can be found at http://www.recsports.uga.edu/fields_tennis.php.
