The Lake Herrick Pavilion will be closed January - September, 2009, due to the parking garage construction.  The pavilion will reopen in October, 2009.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

The Lake Herrick pavilion area is a versatile, private area, perfect for any activity from a staff or business meeting to a reception or party. You may invite up to 150 guests for your event. Certified and trained lifeguards are on duty at all times.

The following amenities are offered when reserving an event at Lake Herrick:

• Kitchen facilities (refrigerator, sink,
• stove, oven, ice machine (with ice) and
• buffet serving counter)
• 9 large round tables and 70 chairs
• Beach volleyball
• Table tennis
• Fireplace and fire pit
• (wood not provided)
• 2 charcoal grills (36"x36")
• Canoes and Pedal boats
• Bathroom/shower facilities

The Rec Sports Picnic area, located at the end of Lake Herrick pavillion parking lot, is a private uncovered area with six picnic tables. This area is suitable for a small event hosting 20-50 people. Grills, alcohol and glass containers are not permitted. This area may not be resserved and operates on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Canoes and pedal boats can be rented during a non-alcohol party. There are four pedal boats and four canoes available. Lifejackets must be worn by all participants and will be provided. Boats must stay in sight of the lifeguard.

• Lake Herrick is a NON-SWIMMING facility. Aquatic activites are prohibited when alcohol is served prior to the party.
• Community groups are permitted to have alcohol in cans or cardboard containers only. A waiver to consume alcohol on UGA Campus property must be signed.
• Music is permitted on a small boom box only.
• Live musical performances must be acoustic and low volume.
