Use of the wall during open hours requires attendance at one of the 3-hour Climbing Orientation Clinics which are scheduled weekly throughout the semester. Successful completion of the clinic allows the participant to subsequently use the wall at no additional charge. When the wall is open, a supervisor is on duty to provide equipment, information and safety management.

Climbing Orientation Clinics – June-July 2008

In the 3-hour clinic the instructors will teach belay skills, policies and procedures for use of the climbing wall and introduce some climbing skill information. Instructors will approve participants for future wall use based demonstration of proper skill and knowledge.  A climbing card will be issued for verification and must be presented each time for wall use.

Register for clinics at the Ramsey Center cashier’s window 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday-Friday. No refunds are given for participant cancellation as it is under the department’s $15 processing fee limit. A participant may switch to another clinic during the same semester if notification is given to the Cashier’s Window more than 3 days prior to the clinic.

Monday 2-5 p.m.
Friday 2-5 p.m.
Saturday 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Cost: $10 UGA students/ $15 Faculty/Staff/ Alumni Ramsey Center Members

Limit: 10 each (minimum 4)
